How a Chair Slipcover Can Add Color

A chair slipcover can add color to a drab room. It can make the ordinary seem fabulous. Having a cover for your chair can bestow on your room a kind of visual impact that it didn’t previously have. Covering just one chair can make a world of difference. If all your living room furniture is in neutral colors, adding one bright chair slipcover can bring the room to life. Add a red chair and conversation will get lively. Add a blue chair, and you will create an atmosphere of serenity. Put the one chair you cover in a conspicuous spot and the effect will be greater. For example, it can be at the cross bar of a “U” shape made by the chair at one end and a couch and loveseat on each side. This gives it a place where it will be seen and used. At the same time, it doesn’t usurp the couch as the center of attention. Putting the chair slipcover on it will make the room brighten without letting the chair steal the show. It will be a part of the overall effect of the room. If you use a chair slipcover on each chair in your dining room, you can change a room that is often very colorless. These slipcovers usually cover the entire chair above the legs. They can be purchase in canvas for outdoor use, but they also come in softer fabrics made for indoor use, too. Yet, it’s the color that really makes the difference. Put a lemon yellow chair slipcover on your dining room chair, and you will enjoy a sunny looking room. You can even put different colors of slipcovers on your dining chairs at the same time. However, it’s probably not wise to use too many contrasting colors on the different chairs of your dining set at the same time. This will make the room look too busy. If you want to use this idea, it’s best to just use a couple of harmonizing colors. Alternate each chair slipcover with the next as you go around the table. A chair slipcover can be used to make a worn chair look new again. It can be used to cover stains, or to keep them off the furniture in the first place. The nicest reason to use a chair slipcover is to brighten up your room with a splash of color. Decorating your house this way with slipcovers can be fun.
